The current GIPS® standards are administered by CFA Institute and are supported by local sponsors in over 25 countries in North America, Europe, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. GIPS is maintained and updated by a nine-member Executive Committee representing key industry and geographic constituents. The standards are widely viewed as being best practice in the global investment management industry. The underlying basic principles of GIPS are full disclosure, fair representation of performance and a strict adherence to the highest ethical principles.
Firms that comply with GIPS standards must do so on a firm-wide basis and must meet strict guidelines for reporting and advertising performance data, including the creation, maintenance and operation of composite portfolios, returns calculation methodology, performance details and required disclosures. Firms claiming compliance with GIPS may voluntarily choose to have this claim verified through examination by an independent third-party verifier. Fischer Financial Services has been verified for the periods January 1, 1993 through March 31, 2007 by Ashland Partners & Company LLP. A copy of the verification report is available upon request. |
